Dawid Chrapla is an active member of polish postindustrial and experimental scene. The Voice of Steelworks is a result of his fascination with industrial areas and its soundscapes. All recordings were made in steelworks and its surroundings, at his home town Zawadzkie. Slowly collected tracks are intended to work together as an album of sound-photos presenting different halls used during metallurgical process. Rhythms of working devices, voices of workers and specific acoustic with long, blurring reverb - it all creates unique character of each recording. Whole album is kind of slow walk around recorded places.
